Our school programs

Learning through storytelling

The overall aim of the initiative is to strengthen children’s language skills through storytelling,  in order to encourage and inspire learning, inventiveness and creativity. Berättarministeriet offers free, creative, language-developing programs including learning materials and activities that place students in the driving seat. The school programs also offer students the possibility to interact with other democratic institutions, such as universities, public libraries and museums. Our school programs unfold in the classroom with the help of teachers’ guides, student materials, and artifacts, with ongoing support from our educators throughout its duration.

Professional learning for teachers

Berättarministeriet places great emphasis on teacher professional training. The pedagogic team of Berättarministeriet offers learning conversations throughout the course of the programs. A wide range of competence building materials are available for the teachers on our online platform. Furthermore, Berättarministeriet arrange annual teacher conferences on several locations in Sweden. The conferences offer speakers in relevant subjects, and a possibility to share knowledge with hundreds of participants in peer learning activities.
